SDSCPA’s Dance Department has registered to send 25 high school dancers to the Regional High School Dance Festival at The Governor's School for the Arts in Norfolk, Virginia this school year. We need to raise $35,000 by January 1, 2024 to cover all of the travel related expenses of attending. The festival runs from Wednesday, March 6 through Sunday, March 10th, 2024 and includes University and Conservatory auditions for year-round enrollment, summer intensives and scholarships. Students participate in master classes, perform in concerts, and view dance performances.
Please join us as we broaden our fund-raising goals to connect all of our dancers with post-secondary and professional opportunities. Years past, SDSCPA dancers have received numerous scholarships and admission offers at these prestigious festivals. We want to provide similar opportunities to all dancers by funding not only participation in high school dance festivals but also SDSCPA’s on-site auditions, master classes, dance intensives, and visiting choreographers. Through these programs our students are given the chance to audition for scholarships, meet (and impress) professionals in their field, and audition for the best conservatories and colleges in the nation.
